CANCERSurvey: We are now recruiting for Cognitive Testing
CANCERSurvey is progressing well
CancerSurvey is moving forward towards launch this summer. Work is currently focused on final checks to make sure the questionnaire is clear and easy to complete, and that it captures meaningful patient experience data. The project is supported by a Steering Committee of 11 representatives from the WECAN Foundation, who are helping to guide the overall direction and patient-centred approach.
Next steps: Cognitive testing recruitment
We are looking for 12 eligible participants to take part in cognitive interviews to test the draft English-language version of the CANCERSurvey.
Cognitive testing is a quality check helping us confirm that the CANCERSurvey questions work as intended, before launch. In a short, structured interview, participants will be asked to read selected questions and explain in their own words how they understand them and how they choose their answers. This will help us identify any wording that is unclear, could be interpreted differently than intended, or feels difficult to answer, so we will be able to refine the questionnaire before it is launched.
Each cognitive testing interview takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.
You may be able to take part if:
- You are aged 18 years or older and live in Europe
- You (or the person you care for) have been diagnosed with cancer within the past five years
- You have received cancer-related treatment within the past five years (this can include surgery, radiotherapy, systemic therapy, and other cancer-related care)
- You are fluent in reading and speaking English
As we want to hear from a diverse range of people, including different ages, countries, and times since diagnosis, we may not be able to invite everyone who registers their interest. If you are not selected for an interview, you will still be able to take part in the full survey when it is launched later this year.
